WHO IS MELCHOR MENOR
Melchor Menor was born in Manila, Philippines. He lived in a spacious 25’ x 25’ apartment with his mother, father and younger brother. At the age of 6, the family was able to move to America. In 1980, Melchor’s family arrived in Las Vegas. Melchor graduated high school and it was immediately after that, he started muay thai training for the sole purpose of learning some self defense. He came to love the art and ultimately competed in the sport having his first muay thai kickboxing bout in April of 1992. Melchor had a successful career as a muay thai fighter competing against some of the very best fighters in the world. In 2001, he was given the honor to participate in the Kings Birthday World Muay Thai Tournament in Bangkok Thailand which is a highly prestigious event that is televised countrywide and having over 100,000 people in attendance.

Melchor Menor is considered to be one of the pioneers of American Muay Thai who started his career as a muay thai fighter in 1992 and retired in 2002. Melchor has an extensive background with countless experience in the fitness and combat training industry. He is Internationally known and renowned as an elite level professional trainer who has worked with Olympians, NFL athletes, UFC champions, Jiu-Jitsu world champions, actors and personalities in the TV, movie and radio industry. He has achieved a world-class status through numerous awards, recognitions, and honors as a World Muay Thai Champion:

Produced 6 National champions and 3 World champions under his tutelage as a combat trainer

Served as a speaker and a Training Specialist Instructor for the Marines MCMAP program at Camp Pendleton, California. Given an honorary letter of recognition from Sergeant Major Spurlock for training the graduating Marines – 2008.

On the coaching staff for Ultimate Fighter TUF Season 14 – UFC reality TV show on Spike channel and again as a special guest coach for Season 17 Ronda Rousey vs Meisha Tate.
Melchor Menor’s acclaimed status allowed for him to be on several television programs such as 2006 National Geographic’s Documentary ‘Fight Science’, Fox's 'Sports Science' in 2009, and History Channel’s ‘Stan Lee’s Super Humans’ in 2010. He has even appeared in a major motion picture ‘ Here Comes The Boom ’ in 2012.
